Castration is neutering of male dogs who are not  kept for breeding  and it is very useful for dogs due numerous reasons. submitted by Dr S.P.Singh
Patient is being prepared for the removal of testis.         The patient is under heavy sedation and sometimes     under general anesthesia
Cut with scalpel blade is given just in front of the testis.        The area under cut is also desensitized using local anesthesia.     Depends upon surgeons choice ,however the idea is to minimize or      completely abolish the pain and discomfort to the patient.
The testis is taken out of the scrotum.
Testis is removed after careful tying with absorbable sutures.
Alternative method of  tying . Tying together the testicular structures .
This way both testis are removed.    Wound is closed  by applying scarless sutures.
